Kevin Joy, Executive Vice President of the New Hope Historical Society, is a retired NYC Music Business Executive. A longtime resident of Bucks County, he is past President of the Trent House Association in Trenton, New Jersey, and is a Historic Preservation consultant and Architectural Historian. He will discuss the “Logan Indian”weathervane which has stood watch over the Parry Mansion since 1990. Originally installed on the grounds of the Logan Inn in 1828, this sculpture has been an iconic figure representing the history of the Inn and New Hope. As stewards of this important resource, the Historical Society is in the process of restoring and conserving it with the assistance of the greater New Hope community.
The New Hope Historical Society’s Speaker Series is open to the public. There is no admission fee for the event.
